Im not the type of a guy who has a "Rizal" personality, but sometimes i think i do, unconciously? not almost enough. there was a time at a jeep "pauwi na ako, siksikan" so what i did is, i hanged to the "sabitan" like a monkey at the back of the jeep and waited for some seats to be preoccupied, when i got a seat(still "siksikan") two old ladies came along, the other old lady got a seat and the other old lady hasnt, so what she did is, she kneeled down so she can balance, i was a little bit shocked and a bit mad to those young and strong men near her, no one even offered her a seat, so what i did, even though i just seated for a second and my hands are hurting coz of hanging like a monkey, i poked her and offered her my seat and got back to the monkey situation, then the old lady asked me where is my destination so she can pay for my fare, "natuwa ako" i just said to the old lady that im fine, no worries, i refused because i was shy. i know some of our filipino gentlemen does this kind of rizal like personality in public transportation, it feels really great to offer someone a hand. thats all folks.

A part of my life which can be considered at least a bit similar to the story of Jose Rizal and the lost slipper was the time I was about to go home. I had a liitle money left since I spent most of my money that day. I decided to ride the lrt so that my money will last until I get home to Paranaque. I rode the lrt sometime between five. It was very crowded and I was forced to just hang on the handles provided. After a few stops, I was able to finally occupy a seat. At the next station, there was this mother with her child..they were carrying a lot of bags. I felt sorry for them and I gladly offered my seat to them so that they would finally be able to rest. I think this story of mine is similar because just like Rizal, I thought of the welfare of others instead of mine. That's all thank you xD

The story of Rizal lost is one of a good story, because it show that he's not only an intellectual person, but also someone who have a good personality and also a good heart thinking for others.
As a human being, we have a natural essence to help other who need help or they don't ask you to help. Sometimes thing happen accidentally, like on our simple way of life we encounter such that, but we have own choice to any action we will do or comply to our lives. We are accountable in any action we done. Based on my experience,One day, its Saturday in the afternoon, I went out together with my friend going to mall to buy something. We ride on the jeep and pay our fare. After that i saw a wallet beside on my seat. I think that the owner was the lady seated on my other side so I decide to ask her if she's the owner of the wallet i saw, and she replied "Yes and thank you". Then I gave the wallet to her. That's all. :)

The story of Rizal's lost slipper is all about when Rizal and his father are going to Antipolo, while they are in the stream of Talim one of the pair of his slippers fell into the river and Rizal said that he will just throw the other one, so that who ever get his slipper it will be a pair and able to use it again.
My personal experience of Rizal’s lost slipper happened to me on my first time here in Manila I saw an old woman that is very dirty, alone and you will see that she is not eating since last night because as I saw her she’s very weak and malnourished. When I was in my room the old woman come in to my mind and I saw my bread that I won’t eat anymore and I thought I can give it to the woman. I search for clean mineral bottle where I can refill it again with the clean water. After I preferred the food I give it to her and she says “Salamat” I don’t know the connection of this to the lost slipper of Rizal but for me I think it is both all about giving things/ anything that you will not use to whom who are needed it so that it can use by other.

"Lost Slipper" a story written by our famous hero Jose Rizal. The story is simple but the mindset of Rizal in the story is interesting, knowing that Rizal is only a child his Philosophical views in life justify that he really deserves to be our National Hero. Being selfless just to help others is one of my interpretation in the story.
Based on what I can recall about my experience, it is late at night around 9pm. I'm on my way home when I saw a woman. I think she is 40+, she looks confuse and her hand is full when I saw her. So I approach her and ask what is the problem. She said that she's lost and don't know what to do. So I offer my help, I ask her where she lives and luckily I know how to go there. So I help the woman to carry her things and company her to the jeep station. Then when she rides the jeep I happily leave her and say goodbye and take care. That's all. :))

The story of Rizal's lost slipper is something that we can learn from. It teaches us to be generous enough no matter how simple our ways are.
I can recall an experience that is somehow similar to Rizal's story. One hot noon, an old woman stopped by our front house asking for some help due to her son is in the hospital. Unfortunately, I'm all alone in our house because my dad ran some errands. I didn't have money at that time because i bought some stuff for school. I honestly told her that I can't give her money. I felt bad because she looked so tired and I cannot help her. But I was surprised to see that inspite of the fact that I can't give her help, she still smiled at me and walked away. As she was about to walk, I called her again and asked her if she wants something to eat. I remembered that we still have some cake in the fridge. I offered her some and told her that I ca't help her financially but maybe I can help her in some way. After she finished eating, she thanked me and told me that she'll never forget my kindness. I told her I would pray for her and her son's recovery. We parted ways having both smiles on our faces. :)

One of the best story I ever heard about Dr. Jose P. Rizal is the "Lost Slipper". I like it because it reminds me of the people who helps when there is calamity like floods or earthquakes. They tend to help others even there is no material to be exchanged for their kindness. Many of the people that they will help will give them a smile but that smile is heart warming to inspired others to help also the people who are in need.

It is like giving the other half of your income to others who are greatly in need. You just dont throw your excess foods or any material things but you give the blessings that you get from God.

My personal experiences that is somehow similar to the story of Rizal's lost slipper is whenever I saw a female or a senior citizen that doesn't have a seat and I have a seat at the LRT I always give my seat to them.

Thinking of others first before yourself is what Rizal has done in the story of Rizal's lost slipper.

The story of Rizal's lost slipper was so awesome because it show us how to be generous even though we are just simple person.

I remember last year, Before I ride on the jeep I bought a drinks and burger to eat it in our house. While on my way home there was a young beggar boy who get up on the "jeep" and he was asking for a money for his foods. That time my money is exactly for the fare so i've decided to give my foods to that young kid.

We can help others even in a simple way :)

I can compare Rizal's experience about his lost slipper when I was in Makati on my mother's birthday. It was my payday and I was planning on surprising my mom and bought two dozen of doughnut. I usually ride fx at SM Makati. So as I was walking, two street children and an older woman, the kids ages from 5-7, approached me and ask for something to eat because they haven't eating for the last two days. The woman cried, she was the grandmother of the two kids and I felt pity. I gave three pieces of the doughnut I bought, one for each of them. The woman said thank you.

Helping others gave you a lighter feeling and happiness. Especially when you help needy people. We should be grateful for what we got and share our blessings. :)

The story of Rizal's lost slipper is about the young Pepe, as Jose Rizal is known to be called, after losing one of his slippers as he was riding a boat, was said to throw his remaining slippers into the waters. At such a young age, he was said to reason that his remaining slipper, without the other pair, is no use to him. Someone who might be able to pick both slippers will be able to use the pair of slippers well. Rizal was very kind and smart because at that age he's able to think that.

I can compare my personal experience to Rizal's story when I was buying a buy one take one burger from burger machine near FEU then an old woman with his child (I think) came to me and ask for money to buy bread. But then I thought to give my 1 burger to her then she said thank you and leave but before she leaves I gave my other burger so that her child will eat burger too then she thank me.

  13. Rizal's experience in the lost slipper is a story of his generosity. Based on my experience, I've also experienced being generous for the one who in need of help. It happened when my mother told me to buy a bread in a bakeshop. Since I came in our shop in the market, I passed by a lot of shops and I've heard one stall owner telling her saleslady to buy a bread in the same bakeshop I am heading to. Since her saleslady is busy closing their shop, I approached the owner and said that I may help her with her request because I am also going to the same bakeshop. Trusting me with her money, I went to the bakeshop and bought what she want me to bought. When I am about to give her change, she is telling me to kept it and treat it as mine, but I refuse to get it and I said that it's ok then she doesn't argue with me for her change. I believe that my experience is also significant to Rizal's experience of his lost slipper.

Rizal's story of losing hist slipper was very touching.
I have some experiences of my own...just like what rizal had with his slipper. When I was in grade 6 or a freshman high school student, I was Makati city's candidate for "NCR palaro" in Taekwondo, in which case, whoever would win in that tournament wound be sent to Mindanao for the "Palarong Pambansa" and would later join the Philippine Team. I fought my way up until I got the final battle for the Gold Medal and be sent to Mindanao for the "Palarong Pambansa". My opponent was also a black-belter. He doesn't seem to be quite confident because I was holding a higher degree of black belt than him. I heard that my opponent really wanted the medal and really wanted to be a part of the Philippine Team. I realized that I did not need that medal or be a part of the team and that he needed that more that I did so I signaled him to take the last winning kick for him to win gold.
