  2. CN:07 Como, Nigel Brett D.
    ANSWER:
My first name consists of 2 separate names. The first, Nigel, was given to me by my grandfather who likes to watch horse racing. There is one racer named Nigel who became champion. Apparently his name means champion. Thus, my grandfather also wanted me to become a champion that is why he gave me my first name. The second, Brett, literally means a person from Britain. In the place where my grandparents reside, this name became popular. Even though it does not suit my personality, this was given to me by my grandmother because she likes it. When both of my names are combined, it literally means "A Champion from Britain".

  26. Torio, Kent Garret G. CN 43

Do you care about the origin and history of your name? From where your name came from. The legacy within your name. I am Kent Garret Torio and I will share you the secrets and the origin of my name. The name Kent is derived from the Brythonic word Cantus meaning "rim" or "border". This describes the eastern part of the current county area as a border land or coastal district.Julius Caesar had described the area as Cantium, or home of the Cantiaci in 51 BC. Kent is known as "The Garden of England" – a name often applied when marketing the county or its produce, although other regions have tried to lay claim to the title. But actually my parents didn’t know about this fact I am named after superman’s name “Clark Kent”. Clark Kent is a powerful superhero and a righteous men. I am named for those qualities and not because I am a boundary of provinces and countries. Garret actually came from Garrett. Garrett is the transferred use of a surname with Germanic and French origins. It is derived from the ancient personal names Gerard and Gerald which were developed in the Dark Ages. Both given names start with the element “gari”’ which means ‘spear’ while the different name suffixes, Gerard comes from “hard” (meaning ‘brave’) and Gerald comes from “wald” ( meaning ‘rule’). The Dark Ages were characterized by a cultural and economic deterioration following the decline of the Roman Empire. Times were tough and personal names reflected a sense of robustness such as ‘brave with the spear’ or ‘rule with a spear’ in the case of Gerard and Gerald, respectively. As a result, these names were quite popular which ensured their survival up to (and beyond) the introduction of surnames. Gerard and Gerald are two personal names that would develop into over 200 surnames, Garrett being one of them. And in addition to that my parents give me this name because garret symbolizes that top of a house even if it is empty it is responsible for protecting it under places. I have the name Garret because I am the eldest son and I have to protect my younger brothers and be there role model.

  28. Calinawan,Ronel A. CN:4

Name is a word or term used for identification. It is a privilege that every man should have right after it is born. My name is Ronel. But I don't really know the reason why my parents gave the name Ronel. I think it is the combination of my parents name maybe because my mother's name is Rowena and my father's name is Nestor. Most probably "Ro" of my name came from my mother's name and "nel" came from Nestor which is my father's name.
I think my name is just plain and simple.I always wonder if this name has meaning or importance. So i asked my friend google to help me. And he said Ronel means expressive, diplomatic, and easy-going, but limited communication with others creates frustrations. It is nice to know that my name really describes me.
Whatever names our parents has given to us we must have to protect it. Because they not just gave this to us just for us have the name of identification but for us to create a name that we must have to proud of someday.
